Marching Atoms
Annandale High School’s Marching Band
The Marching Atoms, Annandale High School’s Marching Band, is a co-curricular ensemble activity comprised of members from the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Color Guard.
The Marching Atoms is a musical marching ensemble organized to provide artistic and entertaining performances at football games, parades, pep rallies, concerts, and competitions. Membership requires dedication, maximum effort, and involvement in all aspects of marching and music performance.
The Marching Atoms begin rehearsing with instructional camps in August. Once school starts, rehearsals are typically held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 – 6 p.m. Additional rehearsals may be called with appropriate (at least two weeks’ whenever possible) notice.
An Annandale High School (AHS) Band Member (Guard Member) is a student who has by choice committed to and dedicated herself/himself to the objectives and goals of the AHS Band Program:
- To learn and grow as people and musicians
- To be our best at every rehearsal and performance
- Strive to improve our musicianship and discipline every day
A Band Member should always strive to become a successful part of the band and help others achieve these same goals. An Annandale High School Band Member should be synonymous with hard work, pride, and excellence.
